Zhejiang Daily is the organ of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. On June 25, 2000, Zhejiang Daily Newspaper Group was established. In 2009, Zhejiang Daily Media Holding Group Co., Ltd. was established. At present, there are 33 traditional mainstream media such as Zhejiang Daily and Qianjiang Evening News, more than 300 emerging media, 660 million registered online users, more than 50 million active users, more than 30 million mobile users, 37 wholly-owned and holding subsidiaries, and more than 6,400 employees. Zhejiang Newspaper Group is one of the earliest "Digital Publishing Transformation Demonstration Units" in China.

In 2011, the Group's media operating assets were successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, making it the first provincial-level newspaper group in China to list its media operating assets as a whole. On May 11, 2017, Zhejiang Daily Media Holding Group Co., Ltd. won the title of "Top 30 National Cultural Enterprises", becoming one of the few newspaper groups in China.

Under the correct leadership and strong promotion of the Provincial Party Committee, Zhejiang Newspaper Group adheres to deepening reform and accelerating the deep integration of traditional media and emerging media. Focusing on the construction of a mainstream online media platform with "party newspaper characteristics, Zhejiang characteristics, original characteristics, and open characteristics", we will make every effort to create a new media matrix of "three circles of circulation". It took the lead in developing and building the "Media Cube", an intelligent communication service platform for integrated media, forming a leading media convergence technology support platform in China, and was identified as a national key laboratory for the development of publishing integration by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.
