People's Daily, founded in Pingshan County, Hebei Province in 1948, is the organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, known as "China's largest newspaper", an authoritative and serious comprehensive daily newspaper

People Daily is the organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Founded on June 15, 1948 in Lizhuang, Pingshan County, Hebei Province, it was formed by the merger of the "Jinchaji Daily" and the "People's Daily" of Shanxi, Hebei, Luyu, and Henan. Comrade Mao Zedong personally wrote the inscription for the People's Daily. On March 15, l949, the People's Daily moved to Beiping with the central authorities. On August 1 of the same year, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China decided that the People's Daily would be the organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the issue number of June l5, l948 would be used.

People's Daily is the largest newspaper in China and was named one of the top ten newspapers in the world by UNESCO in 1992. Over the past 60 years, the People's Daily has adhered to the correct direction of running the newspaper, actively publicized the party's theory, line, principles and policies, actively publicized the major decisions and arrangements of the central authorities, and disseminated information in various fields at home and abroad in a timely manner, making important contributions to the Communist Party of China uniting and leading the people of the whole country to win great victories in revolution, construction and reform. In particular, since the beginning of the new century, under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thinking of the "three represents," and the scientific outlook on development, Renmin Ribao has persisted in holding high the banner, centering on the overall situation, serving the people, carrying out reform and innovation, firmly grasping the correct guidance of public opinion, profoundly publicizing the road, theoretical system, and system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, profoundly publicizing the tremendous achievements of reform, opening up, and socialist modernization, profoundly publicizing the advanced deeds of the broad masses of cadres and masses in forging ahead in unity, singing the song of forging ahead in triumph, and carrying forward the national spirit. It has made positive contributions to encouraging the whole party and the people of all ethnic groups in the country to build a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way. Under the conditions of the new era, the People's Daily has unswervingly adhered to the unity of the party nature and the people's nature, unswervingly implemented the requirements of politicians running newspapers, and strived to be the vanguard of the news front, the vanguard of the integration and development of traditional mainstream media and new media, and the vanguard of improving the style of writing, so as to play the role of "mainstay" in consolidating and strengthening mainstream ideology and public opinion.
