The signing ceremony of the global headquarters of Wanda Sports Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Wanda Sports) in Huadu District, Guangzhou was held in Guangzhou. With a registered capital of 1 billion yuan, the newly established Wanda Sports is the world's largest sports company with Infront Sports Media of Switzerland and World Ironman of the United States.

In 2015, Wanda first took a stake in Atletico Madrid, and then acquired Infront Sports Media (Infront) for 1.05 billion euros. Infront is also one of the world's largest sports media production and broadcasting companies, with rights to 25 sports and the world's number one in football and winter sports. In August, Wanda announced that it had acquired World Ironman (WTC) for $650 million.

Wanda has formed a sports industry chain of sports event holding, athlete brokerage, event marketing, and event broadcasting.
