Peking University First Hospital, Peking University Hospital Andrology Center, Top 10 Andrology Hospitals, leading technology in the diagnosis and treatment of male sexual dysfunction, male infertility, prostate disease, male reproductive system tumors and other andrology diseases
In 2005, in order to improve the academic level and clinical diagnosis and treatment level of andrology in China, and meet the needs of discipline construction and diagnosis and treatment of andrology diseases, under the direct organization and leadership of Academician Guo Yinglu, the Andrology Center of Peking University Hospital was formally established and put into operation. As the largest andrology department in China, the Andrology Center of Peking University Hospital has well-known experts in traditional Chinese and Western medicine andrology in Beijing and even the whole country.
The medical work is mainly aimed at male sexual dysfunction, male infertility, male genital malformations, prostate diseases, gonadal dysfunction, reproductive infections, sexually transmitted diseases, male family planning, male menopausal syndrome, male reproductive system tumors, etc., including outpatient clinics, auxiliary examinations, wards and operating rooms, with pharmacy, laboratory, electrocardiogram room, ultrasound room, radiology, urodynamic examination room, male and female sexual function examination room, electrophysiology room, bone density examination room, cystoscopy room, etc. The main examination equipment includes Shimadzu multi-functional digital remote control X-ray diagnostic system, GE digital color ultrasound diagnostic system, Laborie and Medtronic image urodynamic tester, Medtronic pelvic floor electromyography diagnostic instrument, Lunar dual-energy X-ray bone densitometer, RigiScan penile stiffness meter, MEDOC quantitative sensory impairment tester, automatic blood, urine, semen, automatic enzyme-linked immunoassay analyzer, etc. The treatment system includes the endoscopic diagnostic treatment system of urology andrology (including fully digital cystourethroscope, endourethrotomy, prostate resectoscope and laparoscope); Laborie and Medtronic biofeedback therapy systems; Sexual dysfunction treatment systems for men and women; CO2 laser treatment system; a full set of digital critical care systems; Special surgical equipment for microsurgery, etc., routinely carry out penile prosthesis implantation, deep dorsal vein ligation, dorsal penile nerve orthopedics, microscopic vas deferens-vas deferens anastomosis and epididymal vas deferens anastomosis, male external genitalia plastic surgery and other andrology characteristic surgeries. So far, the Andrology Center of Peking University Hospital has become the largest and best-equipped public hospital in China.
In terms of teaching, the Andrology Center of Peking University Hospital is one of the doctoral programs and postdoctoral mobile stations of Peking University. Carry out the training of andrology physicians and scientific research in the field of andrology, and undertake the training of postdoctoral, doctoral and master's degrees in andrology and the continuing education of national urological andrology clinicians. By 2008, a total of 4 postdoctoral fellows had left the station, 2 had graduated from the doctorate, 5 were doctoral students, and 3 were postdoctoral fellows. It has hosted 5 training courses for andrologists of the "Chuangpu Healthy Men Project" and 3 sessions of the Great Wall International Andrology Forum.
In terms of scientific research, the Andrology Center has built a proprietary advanced experimental research technology platform, including gene chip technology platform, fluorescence resonance energy transfer technology platform, fluorescence in situ hybridization technology platform, multi-conductive physiological animal in vivo research platform and conventional molecular biotechnology platform, and has established cooperative research laboratories with the University of California, San Francisco, Jochia University, National University of Singapore, Yonsei University and other scientific research institutes.
