In 2001, Chechi-Dewey acquired USA Detergents, Inc., expanding its offerings into the home care sector, which included brands such as XTRA and NICE'n fluffy.
In the same year, Crichi-Dewey acquired the consumer goods business of Carter-Wallace GmbH and acquired the ARRID antiperspirant product line. And through a joint venture with a private company, Armkel LLC (in which Chechi-Dewey holds a 50% stake), the remainder of Carter-Wallace's business was acquired, including "Troy" condoms, NAIR epilators, and the FIRST RESPONSE home pregnancy test and ovulation test kit. In May 2004, Chechi-Dewey acquired another 50% stake in Armkel and incorporated it into its ownership.
IN 2003, CHECHI-DEWEY ACQUIRED UNLEVER'S ORAL CARE BUSINESS IN THE U.S. AND CANADA, OBTAINING EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS TO THE MENTADENT PEPSODENT AND AIM TOOTHPASTE BRANDS, AS WELL AS THE CLOSE-UP BRAND. At the end of 2005, Chechi-Dewey acquired the Crest electric toothbrush business from Procter & Gamble, further expanding the field of oral care.
In 2006, the company wholly acquired Orange Glo International Co., Ltd.'s OXICLEAN high-end laundry detergent brand, as well as the KABOOM bathroom cleaner and ORANGE GLO household cleaner brands.
In 2008, the company acquired the Orajel oral care brand of Del Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
In 2010, Chechi Dewey acquired the Simply Saline line line of sterile saline nasal sprays from Blairex Laboratories, Inc.
In 2011, Chechi Dewey acquired Batiste, a dry-cleaning shampoo brand from the British company Vivalis.
As a result of this series of acquisitions, Chechi-Dewey Ltd. has more than tripled its sales revenue over the past decade. The combination of core family brands and acquisitions makes the company a major consumer goods company in the United States.
Chechi-Dewey's third largest category of products is professional care products. These businesses are leaders in the Animal Nutrition, Specialty Inorganic Chemicals and Specialty Cleaning categories.
