Its predecessor was Guangzhou Gas Engineering Preparatory Office, which was established in 1975. In 1983, it was officially renamed Guangzhou Gas Company. On January 16, 2009, Guangzhou Gas Company was restructured and established as Guangzhou Gas Group Co., Ltd., which was officially listed on July 2, 2009. In July 2012, Guangzhou Gas Group was injected into Guangzhou Development, a listed company, as a high-quality asset, and successfully achieved asset listing.
The business scope of the enterprise mainly involves the construction and management of gas pipeline networks and facilities, the investment, operation, design, construction, supervision and technical consultation of gas projects, the installation, maintenance and testing of gas appliances, the wholesale and retail of (gas), and natural gas refueling.
