Yubei Jiazhou business district is located in the core belt of Liangjiang New Area, which was only identified as the core business district of the main urban area in 2013, and started later than Daping business district. Liangjiang New Area is a sub-provincial new area and a state-level new area under the jurisdiction of Chongqing, and is the third national-level development pilot free trade zone directly approved by the State Council after Shanghai Pudong New Area and Tianjin Binhai New Area.
