Wuyi business district

Wuyi Square is to Changsha as Tianfu Square is to Chengdu, and the two have been playing an important role in the development of the city for hundreds of years, not only as the location of the city government offices in previous dynasties, but also as the most mature commercial area and the largest flow of people in the city. On May 1, 1952, the opening of the western section of Wuyi Road marked the formal formation of Wuyi Square, and since then, the supply and marketing cooperative building, Changsha Commercial Building, Wuyi Road Department Store, Friendship Hotel, etc. have opened one after another, and the Wuyi business district has begun to take shape.
Today's Wuyi business district takes Wuyi Square as the central point, Jiefang West Road, Huangxing South Road and Huangxing Middle Road as the main axis, covering a number of large commercial entities at the intersection of the main roads of the two major cities. The business district has a complete range of business forms, gathering department stores, pedestrian streets, shopping malls, urban complexes and other new and old business types, and the scope of influence radiates to the entire Changsha, known as "the first business district in Hunan". Changsha International Financial Center
On May 7, 2018, Changsha International Financial Center (IFS), which took seven years to complete, officially welcomed visitors and became a new landmark in Changsha. With a total construction area of 980,000 square meters, Changsha IFS is the largest construction area and the largest investment amount among the five commercial projects invested by Wharf Group in China, and its main tower is 452 meters high, known as "the tallest building in Hunan Province".
IFS Shopping Mall has seven floors above ground, which has almost single-handedly raised the quality of shopping in Changsha to a higher level. The first and second floors of the gold store are occupied by 50 international first-line brands such as LOUIS VUITTON, GUCCI and PRADA, and many stores are even unveiled with the specifications of double-storey concept flagship stores. It was designed and created by internationally renowned artist KAWS, which has always been in demand in the doll sculpture industry, and is made by Flayed Companion, Bendy, Chum and other well-known dolls. The SEEING/WATCHING sculpture is about 8 meters high, composed of two back-to-back elf dolls, one blue and one gray, and has a unique artistic sense under the cute appearance, and a large number of tourists come here every day.
In addition to the seven floors above ground, IFS also has two floors underground, which are covered by affordable fast-selling brands such as Uniqlo, ZARA, and Hot Air. Ole' boutique supermarket is located on the basement floor of the mall, supplying tens of thousands of goods, of which imported goods account for about 70% of the total goods, and the quality is better. The exits on the B1 and 2 floors are seamlessly connected to the east side of Guojin Street. Guojin Street is a large-scale subway business, about 316 meters long from north to south, with small and medium-sized shops on the street, mainly clothing and decorations, supplemented by catering and snacks. Compared with IFS, Guojin Street is mostly affordable brands, and the price level is more suitable for mass consumer groups.

Hisense Plaza
Before the opening of Changsha IFS, Hisense Plaza has always been synonymous with high-end shopping malls in Changsha. It is jointly built by Hisense Group and Huayuan Real Estate, and is the podium part of the urban complex "Huayuan Hua Center". The unique design is a major feature of Hisense Plaza, the façade of the mall adopts a wave shape, the smooth arc is full of atmosphere, and the interior is also based on the theme of waves, from the floor to the ceiling of the atrium are full of the flow of water waves.
Hisense Plaza imitates the traditional department store display method, separating men's and women's clothing on different floors, of which the 2nd to 4th floors are women's clothing, and the 5th to 6th floors are men's clothing. Similar to most department stores in China, most of the well-known domestic footwear and clothing brands introduced in Wangfujing are TATA, Belle, Joeone, Bosideng and so on. The area on the first floor of the mall is occupied by major skin care and beauty brands, and there are special counters such as CHANEL, BURBERRY, Dior, and SK-II. Most of the food and beverage outlets are concentrated on the basement floor, with chain snacks and desserts being the majority, and the number is less than that of the previous shopping malls.
Wangfujing has been in business for many years, and the interior is a little old, but it is loved by local customers, and it is more lively on weekends or holidays. Shopping malls implement unified management, all consumption is settled at the shopping mall cashier, and the design, decoration and service of merchants are not as good as shopping malls.
