The founding age of Tianxin Pavilion is unknown, and the earliest record is the article "Detailed Application for Separation of Places" in the 41st year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1613) and the poem "Tianxin Pavilion Overlook" during the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty, so it has a history of at least 400 years. As the highest point of the ancient city of Changsha and a part of the ancient city wall, Tianxin Pavilion is naturally difficult to avoid the spread of war. The last destruction occurred in 1938 in the Wenxi fire, and it was not until 1983 that Tianxin Pavilion was rebuilt on its original site.
Today's Tianxin Pavilion can be divided into two attached pavilions: the main attic and the north arch of the south screen. Inner and outer cities. The main pavilion and the two annex pavilions are connected by verandahs, and the overall structure is imitated by wood, the chestnut tile cornice, and the Zhu Liang is painted. In particular, the main pavilion is supported by dozens of red painted columns, combined with corridor columns, and chestnut tile powder walls. The brass bells of the roof wind horse sounded in the wind, and the kissing dragons led the way, showing the former dishes of Tianxing Pavilion. The main pavilion displays the theme of "cultural prosperity and prosperity" and the modern and modern historical deeds of Tianxin Pavilion from the first and second floors. Since there is no lighting arrangement on the second floor, it is difficult to view the materials, and the third floor is vacant, and visitors can enjoy the Changsha landscape from above. The north arch is a rest area for tourists and a 4D video theater for Guan Yuzhan Changsha, while the focus of the south screen is to introduce famous buildings from all over ancient China.
The ancient city walls of Tianxin Pavilion are real historical relics. In 1923, the ancient city wall originally needed to be demolished for the construction of a road, but at the suggestion of a group of literati led by Cao Dianqiu, this section of the wall of Tianxin Pavilion was retained. The ancient city wall has a total length of 251 meters, a height of 13.4 meters, and a top width of 6.1 meters. Even if tourists don't buy tickets to climb to the top of Tianxin Pavilion, they can still visit the monuments and remember the history.
Overall, Tianxin Pavilion is not interesting, and the maintenance of the scenic spot needs to be improved. The ticket price of 32 yuan is not cost-effective, so many people choose to wander around the free Tianxin Pavilion Park at the bottom, rather than climbing to the top of Tianxin Pavilion.
