The term "eating the emperor is big" is derived from the Tujia proverb, which means that eating is more important than the emperor. The Emperor Restaurant is affiliated to Changsha 57 Degrees Xiang Company, which produces Tujia cuisine in western Hunan Province. The Tujia people gather at the junction of Hunan, Chongqing and Guizhou, so there are many Guizhou and Chongqing dishes such as tofu balls and Qianjiang chicken offal in the emperor's dishes, and the number of real Hunan dishes is not as good as that of other chain restaurants.
Most of the dishes are cooked on the spot, and the restaurant has an induction cooker embedded in the table and is cooked by the waiter on the spot. The beef is mellow and tender, and the side dishes are also fresh and refreshing, but the heat of cooking on the spot is insufficient, and the beef is more like cooking, and there is less pot gas for stir-frying. There are also home-cooked dishes such as fried eggplant with salted egg yolk and preserved eggs with chili peppers in the store, but the dishes are industrialized and tasteful, far from catching up with home-cooked restaurants such as Brother Lu and Juanjuan.
The dining emperor is very decorated in Xiangxi style, the store embeds the Tujia sloping roof and wooden attic above the restaurant, the walls and floor tiles are painted with phoenix patterns and five-color and five-flavor totems, the dining area is separated by a bamboo fence, and there are bamboo baskets, hanging stoves and other household items around the dining table. The service staff are uniformly dressed in Tujia national costumes, with a warm attitude, and the services of ordering and serving are thoughtful and timely.
