Zhuyin Mountain House - Business Reviews

Wuhan, a city in central China, is a fusion of cuisines from all over the world, as if it is a gathering place for all kinds of cuisines from all over the country. Compared with the first-tier cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Wuhan's private cuisine is less exquisite and stylish, and compared with Sichuan, Chongqing and Hunan cuisines, these major cities have a deep food background. In recent years, Wuhan has sprung up a lot of private restaurants, either a combination of Chinese and Western fusion cuisine, or an extension of home-cooked cuisine, although there is still some distance from the first-tier cities, but there is also no lack of high-quality, and carefully managed private restaurants. A good private restaurant is the stage for the chef, and the chef's cooking skills are indispensable, and of course, there needs to be a more private and comfortable dining environment.

In terms of style creation and richness of dishes, Zhuyin Mountain House is one of the few private restaurants in Wuhan that has both. Located on Baishazhou by Huangjia Lake, Zhuyin Mountain House is a Ming and Qing Hui style courtyard house, which is in stark contrast to the surrounding high-rise buildings and construction sites. The courtyard is built at the foot of the mountain, wisteria climbing, surrounded by green bamboo, and the atrium is paved with bluestone slabs, which has the meaning of quiet in the middle of the noise. The Zhuyin Mountain House was originally a private museum, which was originally created to commemorate Qi Baishi's disciple and the late Wang Wennong, a famous calligrapher and painter from Hubei. Today, the mountain house still retains exhibitions of calligraphy and painting on the second floor, including calligraphy and paintings by Qi Baishi and Wang Wennong, and has also become a place for cultural salons.

Zhuyin Mountain House is mainly based on Hubei cuisine, and at the same time integrates Cantonese cuisine, Sichuan cuisine, Hunan cuisine and other local cuisines, with a variety of practices. The mountain house does not prepare the dishes a la carte, but the restaurant prepares the dishes according to the number of diners, which is also the practice of most private restaurants. Most of the ingredients in private restaurants are seasonal, with common ingredients such as chicken, duck, beef, pig, and fish all year round, while shrimp, crab and other ingredients will affect the quality or taste depending on the season. In spring and summer, river fresh is the main feature of Zhuyin Mountain House, crayfish is naturally an indispensable ingredient, stewed, steamed, boiled, the taste is diverse, there are also snails, flower nails, eels, bullfrogs and other ingredients as accompaniment. As for autumn and winter, it is mainly autumn crab and mutton. The cooking of the ingredients is prepared on the spot, frying, stir-frying, stewing, boiling, steaming, the same ingredients can also be made of different flavors, such as mutton has different ways of braising it, stewing, hot pot and so on. Although the cuisine of the mountain house is borrowed from local practices, the taste is still improved according to local customs, and the taste is more salty and fresh.

The dining environment of Zhuyin Mountain House is also one of the few private restaurants in Wuhan, which is suitable for banquets or gatherings. Due to the layout of the courtyard, the atrium on the first floor is surrounded by private rooms for different numbers of customers. Each private room is equipped with air conditioning, which is warm in winter and cool in summer. The hollow glass design on the wooden doors and windows allows customers to enjoy the greenery of the pavilion when they are dining. Passing through the patio, the mountain house also reserves a hall dining area, which is mostly suitable for banquets with a large number of people. In addition to dining, the mountain house also has a separate tea room for customers to enjoy tea and enjoy the scenery. And when the weather is nice, you can also set up a barbecue in the atrium.

However, the service of Zhuyin Mountain House is not meticulous, from the introduction of dishes to the dishes, as well as the service of adding tea and pouring water, changing plates, etc., there is still a lack of services. The dishes are not served in the order of cold dishes, hot dishes, and soups, and sometimes the dishes are served too quickly, resulting in the rapid cooling of the hot dishes and affecting the taste.

Customers who go to Takeginyamaya to dine are required to make a reservation one day in advance. When you arrive at the restaurant, it's a good idea to explain your taste preferences and what you want to taste to the staff in detail, or explain what you don't want to eat in advance, otherwise you may end up with a dish that you are not satisfied with.
