The Cafe on the second floor is a typical shop in the building, which is hidden on the second floor of a dilapidated residential building in the Yongfeng community of Hankou, hence the name "Li-in-the second floor". Founded in 2017 by two coffee fans, the second floor has no luxurious decorations, and the scale of the store is far less than that of other cafes on the list, so it mainly focuses on takeaways. Due to the pure taste of coffee and low price, the second floor has gained a group of loyal repeat customers on the takeaway platform.
As a small shop, the in-store coffee equipment is not as good as 1. Z Coffee, not proper coffee, but coffee machine, grinder, roaster, siphon pot and so on are all available. On the second floor, there are not many food options, soft drinks and light meals are scarce, and pour-over coffee and espresso occupy half of the menu. Coffee beans are roasted for their own use, mainly common specialty coffee beans, with complete production areas and different flavors, and can be retailed in addition to personal use. The barista recommends the type of coffee according to the taste preferences and requirements of the guests, and will not miss every detail such as the amount of coffee beans, water temperature, cleaning containers, etc. during the brewing process.
Ice drops and yuzu iced coffee are also popular drinks in the store. Ice drops are a way to use ice cubes to melt and extract coffee, and the taste is smooth and not sour; Yuzu Iced Coffee is a creative coffee with grapefruit sauce mixed with espresso, the coffee aroma is mixed with the yuzu fragrance, and the taste is clear and pleasantly surprised.
On the second floor, the first building on the right side of the Yongfeng community can be described as a terrible environment: the residential buildings in the community are old, the wires are hanging messily in the air, the clothes are drying on the side of the stairs, and the stamps are faintly wafting from the corridors...... Although the outside of the store is dirty and smelly, the inside of the store is different. The small shop with an area of less than 10 square meters is clean and tidy. The bar occupies half of the aisle, and the other half of the aisle can only hold two or three small round tables, and there are fabric couches and long coffee tables in the back of the room, suitable for sitting and chatting with friends. Despite the small size, the interior of the store is warm and the décor is simple.
There is a cat in the store, who is outgoing and often jumps around, and is deeply loved by customers. If you are afraid of cats or allergies to cat hair, it is not recommended to go to our store to consume, but you can order takeout to taste our coffee.
