The Zhenghuo Art Center, jointly founded by Binghuo Creative, Honggu Investment and Juzheng Energy and other institutions, was revitalized from the former Chengdu Seamless Steel Pipe Factory. The two exhibition spaces under the center, located in Area A and Area F of the park, are named Hall 1 and Hall 6 respectively.
In order to transform the cold factory into a performance space with good sound and color, the venue has made great efforts in lighting and acoustic design, and hired stage engineering and equipment companies in Shenzhen, Chengdu and other places to redesign the venue. Entering the center of Hall 6, the walls on both sides are made of angular convex surfaces, so that the sound waves are evenly absorbed and reflected during the propagation process, ensuring the stability of sound diffusion. On the stage and ceiling, you can also see a large number of progressive stage lights, which can provide artists and audiences with a high-quality experience comparable to the theater level with various side lights and top lights during performances.
Venues 1 and 6 are 115 square metres and 500 square metres respectively and are equipped with full-range speakers, projectors and large LED screens. Due to the size of the venue, most of the bands or musicians who choose to perform here have a certain fan base. In the first half of 2018, well-known artists and groups such as Naughty Boy MJ116, Serrini Shu Nini, New Pants, Deca joins and Xie Chunhua performed here, covering rap, pop, rock, folk and more. It is also often used by music groups and commercial organizations to host music festivals, promotional events and corporate celebrations.
However, the catering and transportation facilities around the venue are not perfect. The shops around the site are closed on weekdays, and even if you buy water or light meals, you have to walk to the surrounding commercial areas. The Chengdu-Chongqing Interchange Subway Station, which is the closest to the space, takes 15 minutes to arrive on foot, and it is recommended to use shared bicycles to shuttle.
The security of the venue is relatively complete, and there are uniformed personnel inside and outside the venue to maintain order during the performance. Spectators are required to follow the guidance and arrangements of the on-site staff, and do not bring alcohol into the venue and smoke in the venue.
