Boss Lan's family has been selling Qinhuai snacks such as sugar porridge and lotus root in the streets and alleys as early as the Republic of China, and it has been more than 80 years. In the 80s of the last century, Lan Yilong, the third-generation owner, opened a store on Shuangtang Street to sell Nanjing's special sugar water, such as sugar porridge and lotus root, red bean lantern festival and sugar taro seedlings.
Sugar porridge lotus root is the specialty of Blue Boss. After filling rice in the lotus root, cook and slice it, in order to prevent the lotus root slices from being too thick and the taste is poor, cut the lotus root slices quickly and accurately. The lotus root slices are thin and mixed with brown sugar glutinous rice porridge to eat. The sugar porridge is viscous, the lotus root powder is glutinous and sweet, and the brown sugar has a strong aroma. The red bean Lantern Festival is also excellent in the store, the soup is sweet but not greasy, the balls are not rotten after being boiled for a long time, soft and tough, with osmanthus and wine aroma. After four generations of inheritance, the owner of Lan Yilong has been passed down from Lan Yilong to his daughter, and the scale of the store has gradually expanded, adding one branch in each of Laomen East and Xinjiekou. The Xinjiekou store is located in the fast food area on the first floor of Golden Eagle Supermarket, which is mainly packed and taken out, and the taste of the food may be affected.
