Founded in 2013, Gui Manlong is a catering brand from Shanghai. Gui Manlong is extremely popular and has created a grand queue. In 2016, Gui Manlong came to Nanjing and settled in Deji Plaza, where it was highly sought after by local diners and quickly became one of the most popular restaurants in Nanjing.

Gui Manlong's decoration design is unique, and it has attracted many restaurants to imitate it. The restaurant blends Southern Song Dynasty culture with Hangzhou cuisine, and each store has a unified classical style, each with its own theme. The theme concept of Nanjing Deji store is "Standing Hangzhou", the restaurant has a ceiling height of 12 meters, hanging the scenery of West Lake in the air, surrounded by ten wood carvings engraved with "Ten Views of West Lake", flowing water, pavilions, pavilions and other elements make the environment quite ancient and elegant. The restaurant is dimly lit and does not have much impact on dining.

Gui Manlong focuses on innovative Hangzhou cuisine, which combines the characteristics of Cantonese cuisine, Shandong cuisine, Sichuan cuisine, Huaiyang cuisine and other cuisines on the basis of traditional Hangzhou cuisine. Finger sucking chicken feet is the king of Gui Manlong's abundance. After the chicken feet are stewed, the texture is soft and creamy, and the sauce completely penetrates into the chicken feet, and the taste is sweet but not easy to make people feel greasy.

Fried shrimp with hu flavor also performed well. Fried shrimp is a Shanghai dish and is also more common in Zhejiang. The shrimp is fried in the pot after the back is opened, the shrimp meat is fresh and tender, the shrimp shell is thin and crispy, there is no need to peel off the shrimp shell when eating, it can be swallowed directly, and the entrance is crispy. The addition of pepper gives the fried shrimp a slightly numb texture and enriches its flavor level. Although it is called fried shrimp, it does not feel greasy, so it is suitable as an accompaniment to alcohol.

Although the order rate of shredded chicken cold noodles is high, the quality of the products is not satisfactory. The noodles are decorated with finely crushed sugar grains, covered with red sweet and spicy sauce, and sprinkled with peanuts around them. Taste is the biggest shortcoming of shredded chicken cold noodles, the noodles are dry and hard without taste, the amount of shredded chicken is insufficient, the sugar grains do not play a role in the overall taste of the dish, the proportion of spicy in the sauce far exceeds the sweetness, and the mixed noodles have a single flavor.

The service is also much criticized. The waiters in the restaurant have a cold attitude, are not enthusiastic and patient enough to treat diners, and cannot take care of every diner when there are many diners. Gui Manlong is doing a brisk business, and there are often queues of more than two hours, so diners are advised to avoid the rush hour when they go forward to eat.
