Dayjin Hall is a flavor restaurant created by the Summer Palace and Mustard Seed Garden, located in the east of Laomen. The restaurant occupies a corner of Taojia Lane and is set up along the street, which has a sense of being hidden in the city. Chef Wu Wen won the 2017 San Pellegrino Young Chef Award in China.
The dishes of Dayjintang are rich, including the flavors of the Republic of China, Huaiyang delicacies and Qinhuai snacks. Dishes are available on a per-guest basis, with both set menus and à la carte options. Blanched dried silk is a popular dish of Dayjintang, and in Dayjintang's production, the dried silk is tender but not scattered, and the thickness is consistent. The dried shreds do not leave a trace of beany smell, and the taste is refreshing and clean. The special marinade and sesame oil enrich the taste of the dried shreds, and the taste is better when the dried shreds are fully mixed with the sauce when eating.

There are a variety of fine snacks, including radish shredded shortbread, Jinling roast duck crisp, five-color cakes, wine-brewed Lantern Festival, etc., and almost all of Nanjing's local specialties can be found here. The quality of the fine points is generally average, the wine is too thick and the taste is sweet and greasy; Five-colored cakes are soft; Tofu brain tastes too salty.
Poor service quality is a major disadvantage of Dayjintang, there is no waiter to guide the diners to sit after entering the door, and the waiter's attitude is not enthusiastic enough, and will not take the initiative to introduce and recommend dishes for diners, and do not actively respond to the needs of guests. In addition, the quality of the restaurant's products is not stable enough, and the cost performance is average.
