Jade Garden (Kowloon Bay) - Merchant reviews

Maxim's Group, to which Jade Garden is located, is the largest and most diversified quality food and beverage group in Hong Kong, with more than 70 brands and more than 600 outlets. It has a number of Cantonese cuisine brands such as Jade Xuan, Yi Cui Xuan, August Flower and August Xuan, as well as catering brands that make Chaojiangchun, Beijing, Sichuan, Shanghai and Hunan cuisine, including Chaojiang Chun, Chaoting, Beijing Building, Magnolia, America-China Duck, Chuanhuaiju and The Pond.

Founded in 1971, Jade Garden has been repeatedly reported by well-known media such as New Holiday Weekly, U Magazine, East Weekly, etc., and has been recommended by the Michelin Guide many times, and is also one of the most well-known restaurants in Hong Kong.

Compared with the mainland, Hong Kong's Jade Garden's cuisine is more sophisticated in terms of appearance, making it a safe and unmistakable choice of restaurant. It is well done from the starter, and the crispy tofu with salt and pepper, the linden duck square, and the beef tenderloin with garlic slices are very popular. The roast meat also performs well, with the signature roast suckling pig, Lunjiao sheep roast goose, Yipin garlic chicken, conpoy and concubine chicken, honey barbecued pork emperor, and Huadiao drunken pigeon. Some of the innovative dishes are also eye-catching, such as fried salmon steak in sweet wine, crispy lamb shank, stewed beef ribs in a bowl and wine.

In general, many of the dishes in Maxim's Chinese restaurants are similar, such as the Golden Diamond Guifei Crispy Shrimp Balls in Jade Garden, which became the Strawberry Crispy Shrimp Balls in Jade Xuan with different ingredients, and the Purple Ginger Crispy Shrimp Balls in August. As another example, Jade Garden's strawberry crispy steak is similarly prepared.

However, the menu of Hong Kong Jade Garden is quite different from that of the mainland, for example, the common Tang Lane Sliced Duck and 101 Fresh Fruit Napoleon do not appear on the menu in Hong Kong. Flame Golden Sands Bone, Strawberry Crispy Pork Steak, Pan-fried Curry Lamb Rack, etc. are unique to Hong Kong.

Jade Garden has a number of branches in Hong Kong, and each one is bustling with activity as soon as the meal arrives. The decoration style of each house is the same, elegant and exquisite, and the matching and placement of tableware, cups and bouquets are full of care. The service is thoughtful and meticulous, and the dining experience is good. Holidays are overcrowded, so it is recommended to book in advance.
