Luxiang Town is a national chain operation of high-end Hunan cuisine brand. It has more than 10 stores in Changsha, Shanghai and Beijing. Among them, the Changsha store is the best, and has been recommended by many hosts of Hunan Satellite TV and Hunan Entertainment Channel. The cuisine is mainly Hunan cuisine, accompanied by Cantonese cuisine. At present, there are four branches in Shanghai, of which the ASE branch is in the process of renovation.
The menu is subject to change depending on the season. Pork knuckle stewed chicken is a long-established signature dish that has been on the menu for ten years, and the production is stable. Guangdong Qingyuan chicken is slightly sweet, soft but not rotten. The pork knuckle has obvious sugar color, and after fully absorbing the secret soup, it tastes fragrant and soft, fat but not greasy, suitable for all ages. Spring water Dongjiang tofu belongs to the Dongjiang specialty, the taste is light, tender and refreshing. The tofu is soaked in the soup, so be careful when you bite into the soup. Boiled snails in spicy wine are a dish that belongs to non-spicy diners, and the snails are relatively clean and fully immersed in the spicy soup to ensure the flavor. The wine and chili peppers are seasoned over high heat to remove the fishy smell and become full of spiciness.
The restaurant's menu is as many as four pages long, with everything from cold dishes to signature dishes and local specialties. Each dish is accompanied by a picture, so that diners from other places who are not familiar with Hunan cuisine can better choose the dishes. The restaurant also launched a 9 yuan special. They are made up of five side dishes, including stir-fried lotus root tips, thousand-page tofu, stir-fried meat puree with radish and beans, stir-fried shiitake mushrooms with broccoli, and steamed eggs with seafood, which are quite cost-effective.
Although Luxiang Town is also one of the Hunan restaurants in Shanghai that have physical stores in Changsha, the taste of its dishes has been improved, catering to local tastes to a certain extent, and the standard is far less than that of Changsha stores. Luxiang Town, located in CITIC Plaza, is the first branch and is more popular. The restaurant is divided into two floors, with the second floor being an open-air dining area with a distant view of the Bund. The restaurant has a self-service tea, slow serving, and free ice cream at the entrance. It should be pointed out that the service staff of the restaurant have a weak sense of service, which has left a negative impression on many diners and has also affected the overall level of the Shanghai store.
