Gao Xuedong, the current principal of Zhongke Qiyuan School, also serves as the director of the Education Division of the Administration of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was born in Beijing Normal University, and was the principal of Zhongguancun No. 3 Primary School, with many years of experience in the management of high-quality schools. Zhongke Qiyuan School plans to become a nine-year school, but due to the short period of establishment, the school now only has a primary school. According to the current Beijing compulsory education policy, students have Haidian student status after entering the school, and graduates can participate in the allocation of places in Haidian District Middle School, or take the examination for other high-quality private middle schools. The school does not provide accommodation, students are day students, and there are childcare classes after school. There is no school bus to pick up and drop off students, and the traffic situation near the school is also more severe, which is inconvenient for parents of students who live far away.

Before 2017, the students recruited by Qiyuan were basically children of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the quality of the students was good.
