Beijing Zhongke Qingyun Experimental School is the first private public welfare school in the country, which is jointly founded by the Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Zengai Public Welfare Foundation and Sanchen Investment Fund, providing eight-year consistent supernormal education from the fourth grade of primary school to high school.

Paying attention to migrant left-behind children is an important part of the "Qingyun Student Program", and the Qingyun Experimental School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences recruits abnormal children as the main source of students, and provides them with free education and accommodation. In 2009, the school borrowed the premises of Fangcaodi Primary School to start the school, and in 2013, with the support of the Changping District Education Commission, it registered Zhongke Qingyun Experimental School in Changping District, and set up primary, junior high and high school departments.

Since the beginning of 2017, Professor Shi Jiannong has served as the principal of Qingyun School, a researcher at the Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an expert on the education of abnormal children, and the chairman of the Asia-Pacific Council of the World Association for the Study of Gifted Children. Zhao Daheng, the vice principal of the school, also has rich teaching experience in the field of paranormal education, and has been the head teacher of the children's class of Beijing No. 8 Middle School, and has practiced paranormal education for more than 30 years. At the same time, the school also employs psychology teachers to pay attention to the mental health development of super-long children.

Zhongke Qingyun Experimental School takes the cultivation of super-long children as its primary task, so it pays attention to the individualized differences of students in the direction of training, and advocates "differentiated individuals, differentiated education, and differentiated development". In addition to the daily teaching progress and learning difficulty that are much faster than those of ordinary schools, the school also regularly invites experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Capital Normal University, and Beijing No. 8 Middle School to give classes to students. Qingyun Experimental School takes the fourth grade of primary school as the starting point of teaching, and most of the students can complete all courses from primary school to high school within six years after enrollment, and reach the level of outstanding high school graduates.

In order to ensure the sustainable development of the school, Zhongke Qingyun Experimental School began to recruit students from the society in 2018, and the enrollment scale of the whole school is controlled within 1,200 students, with 4 classes in each grade and 25 students in each class, and the overall teacher-student ratio is controlled at about 1:8. More than half of the total number of students are selected to be abnormal children, and 10% of them are guaranteed to receive support from the "Qingyun Student Program".

Students who intend to register need to participate in the abnormal child test organized by the Center for Abnormal Children of the Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and sign up for the re-examination with a report after the test.
