Founded in 1958, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University is the third clinical medical school of Capital Medical University, and ranked 56th in the "Best Hospitals in China" published by the Hospital Management Institute of Fudan University in 2016.
The Department of Dermatology and Venereology of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University was established in 1958, and after nearly 60 years of development, it has now become a national clinical pharmacology base, a training base for specialists of the Ministry of Health, a training base for master's and doctoral students in dermatology and venereology of Capital Medical University, and a degree-granting center. The department is good at diagnosing and treating various sexually transmitted diseases, including syphilis, genital warts, gonorrhea, genital herpes, genital chlamydia trachomatis infection, chancroid chancroid and lymphogranuloma venereum, which are the diagnosis and treatment of eight common sexually transmitted diseases in China, especially for urethral meatus, intraanal, and recurrent refractory genital warts. Dr. Jin Hong, the chief physician of the department, is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, who has undertaken a number of dermatological and venereal disease research projects, has rich clinical experience, and is good at the diagnosis and treatment of papillomavirus (HPV).
Due to the long incubation period of HIV and the difficulty of self-detection, the department also provides HIV pre-test information services, provides confidential HIV testing services for patients who go to the hospital, and promises to keep the test data and results strictly confidential.
