Founded in 2014, the Health Management Research Institute of the Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital integrates the functions and resources of the hospital's original health medical center and the international medical center, and is currently the largest public health management institution in China, with an average annual service volume of 200,000 person-times.

The institute consists of two buildings, the International Department and the State Guest Department, with a total area of 40,000 square meters and a magnificent environment. The predecessor of the State Guest Department was the Health Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital, which was established in 2005 to provide health management services to the society, while the International Department has a history of more than half a century and has long undertaken the medical task of health care for senior cadres of the Party Central Committee. At present, the main medical examination services in the hospital are handled by the State Guest Department, which provides comprehensive medical examination services covering general medical practice to the society, while the International Department provides more in-depth disease screening services such as stroke and cancer screening.

The physical examination service in the hospital is carried out in strict accordance with the principle of "separation of medical examination", and all examination items are carried out in the research institute, which is highly isolated from the patients in the hospital. Equipped with advanced physical examination equipment such as CT, DR, MRI, color ultrasound, electronic gastrointestinal endoscope, vascular elasticity detector, body composition analyzer, thermal tomography scanner (TTM), etc., it has a team of senior health care experts with rich clinical experience, and has special health management services such as diabetes high-risk population management, weight management, fatty liver and hyperlipidemia management and sub-health status management, providing one-stop service for customers who come for physical examination.

The outpatient clinic has a fairly complete department system, with dozens of specialized departments such as internal medicine, surgery and medical technology departments, and its physicians are selected from nearly 1,000 experts and professors from the PLA General Hospital. It includes various clinical medical experts, health care experts and medical technology experts, bringing together the top physician resources of the hospital. In response to the particularity of inpatient customers, the inpatient department is equipped with a call center and a special telephone line in each ward for inpatients to quickly contact the hospital in case of emergency.

The medical examination time of the hospital is from 7:15 to 9:30 in the morning from Monday to Friday. Closed on weekends. The schedule for medical check-ups in the hospital is relatively tight, so it is recommended that customers make an appointment as far in advance as possible. The price of the medical examination package in the hospital is between 2,500 yuan and 15,000 yuan, and the output time of the physical examination report is about 7 working days for the State Guest Department and 15 working days for the International Department.
