Today, the school has become a favorite live bar among young people in the city. School won the Best Live Music Bar of the Year award at the 2017 TimeOut Beijing Bar Awards. Entering through the small door outside the school, there is a bar counter, where you can sit and drink and chat if you are not interested in the show. School's performance style is the most distinctive, mainly punk, and other performances such as indie, British, experimental, noise, etc. are also often seen, and the performance schedule is always full, except for Mondays, there are performances basically every day. One of the great things about seeing a show at School is that there is always a steady stream of new bands on stage. Well-known bands on college campuses usually come to the school to test the waters, and there are not a few bands formed by high school students. This is the school's band development program, which supports and encourages the growth of new bands and promotes rock music among young people. Correspondingly, the school ticket price threshold is also very low, the general pre-sale ticket price is 4 or 50 yuan, and if it is a student-only event, the ticket price is often as low as 30 yuan. School has occasional Open Mic rap events, where the stage and microphones are open to the audience, where you may be able to find fellow rappers and tickets are free. After all, it is still a bar, and the School offers a lot of choices in terms of alcohol, draft beers, cocktails are of good quality, and there are also many bottles of beer for sale, including Punk IPA, Master Gao, White Bear, Tiger, etc., and the price of drinks is relatively reasonable.
