The International Department of the school implements the Manitoba curriculum from grades 1 to 12, and there are AP courses for students to take.

Covering an area of 120,000 square meters, Clifford English School has a spacious campus with first-class facilities. The school attaches great importance to the International Department, students attend classes in the newly built teaching building, all classrooms are equipped with air conditioning and multimedia teaching platforms, and the teaching area of chemistry, biology, physics, general science and other courses is extremely spacious, and the three computer laboratories are equipped with large-screen interactive teaching platforms, which are built in full accordance with the standard requirements of the Manitoba Provincial Department of Education, Canada. In addition, the school's library has a rich collection of books, and a lot of money has been invested in various computer software, which is also configured according to the requirements of the Canadian province of Manitobana.

The school has a strong number of foreign teachers, and the number of foreign teachers was once equal to that of other schools in Guangdong Province combined. As of 2017, there are more than 40 foreign teachers from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and other countries, all of whom have bachelor's degree or above, of which half have double bachelor's and master's degrees, and all of them hold professional qualification certificates issued by their own governments, as well as employment licenses issued by China's foreign affairs departments and education authorities. However, according to students, the school's foreign teachers are highly mobile.

The International Department offers courses in Manitoba, Canada, and the teaching materials and classroom teaching hours of each course meet the requirements of the Manchester Provincial Education Department, Canada, and adopt the Western school calendar. At the primary level, English language, mathematics, science, and social studies are mainly taught, as well as physical education, drama, music, art, and Chinese. Chinese classes are divided according to students' Chinese background and ability, and are designed for students who are just starting to learn Chinese, and the majority of foreign students at the school are Koreans. It is worth mentioning that the school has also set up a language center to provide assistance in the form of classroom teaching or individual tutoring for students who are not proficient in English.

At the lower secondary level, students are taught the same subjects as in primary school, and if they excel academically (90% average), they will have the opportunity to enter a high-level interdisciplinary study class at noon. The school offers a wide range of elective courses at the middle and high school levels, including visual arts, drama, orchestra and computer technology, etc., and high school students are required to complete 30 credits including elective courses before graduating. AP courses include calculus, computer science, microeconomics, macroeconomics and psychology, etc., and the courses will be adjusted every year according to the needs of students' interests.

The dormitory has complete facilities such as air conditioning, bathing, and laundry, and there are security patrols and medical monitoring 24 hours a day. The school provides three meals per person per day, and there is a regular buffet, but most students say the meals are mediocre. The school provides school bus services for day students, and cooperates with school bus companies to develop a number of school bus routes such as Nancun Line, Luoxi Line, and Dashi Line, and life teachers follow the bus throughout the process to ensure that students get to and from school safely.

In August 2012, Clifford was specially approved by the College Board as an SAT test center, and is currently (as of 2017) the only school in Guangdong authorized to have the qualification of a test center, so that its students can take the "American college entrance examination" at the "home field" instead of going to Hong Kong and Macau to take the test. Canada is the majority of its students who go on to graduate from Canada, followed by the United States and Australia. In the 2016 AP exam, the school's average score was 3.54, exceeding the national average (3.49) and the global average (2.87), with 80% of the 45 students achieving a score of 4 or above.
