RMK, which has the same name as a well-known Japanese makeup brand, is a full-fledged Japanese cocktail bar. Founded by three young men who love Japanese sake culture, RMK is the first Japanese-style shochu-based cocktail bar in Shenzhen, unlike other bars that commonly use gin, whiskey, and rum as the base liquor.
RMK translates as Liucurtain, adjacent to Shenzhen University, and the store is not easy to find, but it has a bit more mystery. The restaurant is dimly lit, and in addition to the lobby, there is a special sake room with a wall of Japanese shochu and sake, and a long and narrow bar where guests can sit and enjoy the mixology. The music style in the store is dominated by reggae with a strong sense of rhythm, which attracts many white-collar workers who work hard in the office building during the day.
The RMK is divided into two floors, with the smaller lower floor being the original bar and being decorated in a Japanese-style style. The newly opened RMK Second Floor on the upper floor has hired Lu Xuejun, a well-known bartender who won the runner-up in the Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition in China, as a consultant. Lo has made "Modern Cocktails" the core concept of RMK Second Floor, and the wine list is divided into three sections: Modern Classic Cocktails, Signature Cocktails and Cocktail Journey. Among them, the modern classic is based on the traditional classic cocktail, and the base wine is iterated with higher quality modern spirits in order to produce a better flavor. Inspired by Cantonese herbal tea and dining, the four signature cocktails use local ingredients from South China to create unique regional cocktails. The "Cocktail Journey" draws on the recipes of well-known bars such as Barules and Speak Low in Shanghai, so that consumers in Shenzhen can taste the beautiful and unique taste without having to travel to Shanghai.
It is worth mentioning that there are also 9 fruit-flavored yaki dishes that are popular with young female consumers, whether it is the creamy yogurt grill, or the juice-filled lychee grill and grapefruit grill, all of which are popular and popular. The oden is also very popular, especially in the cold and wet winter, and a steaming Japanese oden goes well with a shochu cocktail.
