In the early days, Sino's product line was relatively simple, focusing on diabetes index detection, and then gradually diversified through acquisitions. In 2016, after Nipro Diagnostics of the United States was incorporated into its command, Sinocare became the sixth largest blood glucose meter company in the world. The subsequent acquisition of PTS in the United States also helped the company expand the chronic disease prevention and treatment market. However, in the acquisition of the blood glucose meter brand by Bayer and Johnson & Johnson, although Sino bid very highly, it failed to win the bid.
 
Sino blood glucose meters are economical, most of them are bundled with test strips and sold at cost price, and the price of a single piece of test strips is only 1.3-2.4 yuan, which is almost half of other brands. The low-end models are available in bottles and tablets, while the high-end models are only available in bottles. However, due to the brand's use of stable glucose dehydrogenase, the bottled version has a 6-month expiration date after opening, which is twice that of the regular brand. However, at the same time, the enzyme is susceptible to the interference of xylose, which makes the results falsely high, which slightly affects the accuracy.
 
Like Roche's Excellence series, "Jinwen" uses gold electrodes to increase conductivity, and results can be produced in 5s. At the same time, the range of 20-70% hematocrit also expands the applicable population, neonates, pregnant women, and hypoglycemic patients can use it, but the sample size of 0.8μL is slightly larger, the price is 359 yuan, and 100 pieces of blood glucose test strips are included.
 
In contrast, the blood collection volume of the "Anwen" series was reduced to 0.6μL, but it was not as good as the "Jinwen" in terms of applicability. "Qinzhi" has a built-in SIM card, wireless transmission through GPRS, and can be shared in real time at a time, especially suitable for the elderly at home, with a price of 319 yuan and 50 pieces of blood sugar test strips.
 
Sinocare also has a rare glycosylated hemoglobin detector on the market, which can monitor blood sugar control in the past 1-2 months, and the evaluation effect is more accurate than blood glucose indicators. The instrument has passed the US FDA, the EU CE and IFCC certification, no operating error, but the price of 598 yuan is more expensive.
