After 10 years of its establishment in 1960, ARKRAY developed the world's first digital clinical blood glucose meter, and the following month developed a simple blood glucose meter, for which it won the Kyoto City Workplace Invention Achievement Award. Today, its blood glucose meter product line has derived the "Kyoto" sub-brand, the weight of the instrument does not exceed 50g, light and easy to carry, the choice of glucose oxidase to ensure accuracy, independent packaging helps to extend the validity of the test strip, but the ease of use is relatively mediocre.
The GT-19XX (X stands for number) series requires only 0.3 μL of sample, but the reaction time of 7 seconds is slightly longer. Except for the "GT-1970", which has 500 sets of data reserves and supports multi-angle markers such as diet, exercise, and control level, other products are lacking in memory capacity and data dimension. The "GT-1970" blood glucose meter is not sold separately, and the package price with 50 test strips is 399 yuan, while the price of a single blood glucose test strip is 4.2 yuan.
In contrast, the "GT-1820" has a range of 20-70% hematocrit, bringing a wider range of users to the product. Although the detection time was shortened to 5.5 seconds, the blood collection volume was doubled to 0.6 μL. At the same time, glucose dehydrogenase is susceptible to the interference of other sugars, which makes the results falsely high, and the accuracy is not as good as that of the "GT-19XX" series. "GT-1820" is sold in combination with test strips, priced at 548 yuan.
