The predecessor of Longguan Company was established in 1950 as the local state-owned Hangzhou Longjing Tea Farm, and the widely circulated Top Ten Stir-frying Methods of Longjing Tea are derived from the summary and innovation of the state-owned tea farm. In 1958, the state-owned tea farm was merged into the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and became its subordinate tea test field, and in 1996, Longguan Company was established on the basis of the tea test field. Today's most widely planted and highest-yielding West Lake Longjing tree species, Longjing 43, is also cultivated by the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
 
Longguan Company has built more than 5,000 acres of high-quality tea garden base and 12,000 square meters of high-standard clean workshops in the core high-quality production area of Longjing tea. It is also affiliated to the agricultural product quality and safety testing room led by Academician Chen Zongmao, and the tea pesticide residue testing of the testing room has been recognized by the European Union. At the same time, Longguan Company decomposes the traditional production operation of Longjing tea into 26 quantifiable production processes and 12 quality control procedures, and strictly controls all aspects of planting, frying and quality control, forming the dual quality of "delicious and good-looking" of Longguan West Lake Longjing.
