Fushou Mountain Farm is located between the peaks of Hehuan Mountain and Snow Mountain in Taichung County, with an altitude of more than 2,000 meters, which is the highest altitude among the three major alpine farms in Taiwan. In 1980, Fushoushan Farm began to try to grow alpine tea, including Qingxin Oolong, Wuyi Tea, Tieguanyin, etc., and in 1983, the tea produced by the farm was officially named "Fushou Changchun Tea". According to legend, Fushou Changchun tea is also Chiang Ching-kuo's favorite, so it was even named the "king of tea" in Taiwan.
The tea trees of Fushou Mountain are planted in the high mountain tea garden, the soil is fertile, the sunshine is sufficient, the rain and fog are shrouded, the superior natural conditions are very suitable for the growth of tea trees, and the original ecological management method is adopted, no chemical fertilizers are used at all, and only two to four times a year for pest and disease biological or pesticide control, and the fresh leaves are sent to the relevant units for pesticide residue detection and then picked and produced. However, due to the low temperature in the alpine area and the slow growth of tea trees, Fushoushan Farm only picks two periods between May ~ June and September ~ October every year, and sells spring tea and winter tea respectively, with an annual output of about 16,000 catties, which is in short supply in the market all year round.
Fushou Changchun tea products include oolong tea, refined oolong tea, Tieguanyin, Wuyi tea four categories, due to the use of traditional production technology, the degree of baking is higher, coupled with the characteristics of high mountain tea, the tea soup is smooth and mellow but not astringent, full of throat rhyme, brewed nearly ten times still has a residual fragrance. The official price is NT$5,000~NT$10,000 per catty (600g). At present, most of the people who want to buy Fushou Changchun tea in the mainland can only buy it through purchasing agents, and the supply exceeds demand, so the purchase price is generally much higher than the official selling price. In view of the fact that there are many counterfeit products on the market, since 2017, Fushou Changchun Tea has also added a new QR code anti-counterfeiting packaging, and tea lovers should pay attention to inspection when they start.
