Dumex is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Danone, an international dairy giant, and has occupied the top three imported infant milk powder in China, with a very high reputation, and since 2003, Dumex China's revenue has maintained growth for nine consecutive years, becoming Danone's most profitable brand in China. However, under the blow of a series of negative information such as the Fonterra Botox oolong incident and the "first milk" incident in 2013, Dumex's performance declined rapidly, and by 2014, Dumex had fallen out of the top 10 in China's infant formula market, and was finally acquired by Yashili in 2016. Interestingly, Mengniu's current milk powder sector is mainly composed of Yashili, Dumex, Mengniu Ruipien and Shi'en, but the combined market share of these brands today is not comparable to Dumex's market performance in its heyday.
Nowadays, Dumex has a relatively small range of milk powder to choose from, but its milk powder quality still maintains the leading level in China. Since breaking with Fonterra, Dumex has chosen Ireland as the source of milk. Judging from the 900g canned section of milk powder, the price of Zhicui new care is 228 yuan, and the price of precise maintenance is 178 yuan. Both are produced in Shanghai, with the main difference being the addition of OPO structural lipids. Since Dumex originally belonged to the Danone Group, their formula is similar to the current Aptamil and Nuoyouneng in the Chinese market, in which the content and proportion of ARA and DHA are the same as those of Aptamil Platinum, which is cost-effective, and the precision maintenance is relatively more affordable.
