Schneider Electric is one of the world's largest energy management companies, with a history of nearly 200 years, ranking 438th among the world's top 500 companies, with total global revenue of 24.7 billion euros in 2016.
In the 20th century, Schneider began to enter the emerging power market, first forming an alliance with the international electric group - Westinghouse of the United States, and then acquiring TE Electric, the American company and Merlin Gerland, and even the second largest European power distribution industry Lexel was also included in its command. In 1999, the group officially changed its name to Schneider Electric, with a clearer emphasis on its future commitment to the electrical field.
At present, nearly 30% of Schneider Electric's business is in the Asia-Pacific region, and China has become Schneider Electric's second largest market in the world, with more employees in China than in the United States and France combined, and as many as 26 factories. Schneider's position in the Chinese market is quite high, and its strength is that the sales of low-voltage components in China have occupied the first position for ten years, and it has also participated in the compilation of national standards for a variety of low-voltage equipment.
Schneider has all kinds of low-voltage electrical products below 400V, ranging from industrial frame circuit breakers, to household miniature circuit breakers, as well as supporting distribution boxes, buttons, etc., and is one of the manufacturers with the most complete varieties of low-voltage components. Schneider not only produced the first 6300A high-current switch in China, but also the first manufacturer to launch a full range of molded case circuit breakers with electronic trippers, while other manufacturers at that time only had low-grade thermomagnetic trippers.
In terms of household circuit breakers, from the first generation of miniature circuit breakers F70 launched by Schneider in the sixties to the present, it has developed to the fifth generation Acti9. Acti9 as the latest generation of products, the performance is undoubtedly the best, after several years of market testing, outstanding quality, of course, its price is also the highest among all brands, 2-5 times that of similar products in China.
The Acti9 series is the only household circuit breaker on the market with a level 2 shock protection rating, which ensures the safety of equipment throughout the terminal power distribution system. The electrical and mechanical life is 10,000 times and 20,000 times respectively, which not only far exceeds the national standard of 4,000 times, but also the top level in the industry. Class 3 is best-in-class stain resistance and provides stable protection for circuits even in harsh environments. The rated impulse withstand voltage is 6kV, which is higher than the national standard of 4kV, and can still maintain a long service life in the case of overvoltage.
Acti9 series circuit breakers can be divided into two types: air switch and leakage protection switch, the former can realize overload and short circuit protection functions, while the latter adds leakage protection function and is often used as a master switch. Both kinds of switches have 1P/1P N/2P/3P/4P a total of five poles to choose from, the rated current level covers from 10A to 63A a total of eight gears, whether it is lighting, toilet and other circuits with low power consumption, or air conditioning equipment, refrigerators and other circuits with large power consumption, basically meet all the circuit needs of ordinary families. In terms of ease of use, the Acti9 series also changes the stereotype of complex and difficult to use industrial products, the innovative double locking clamp structure allows the circuit breaker to be disassembled without moving the busbar, and the red and green bar indicator window is convenient to know the working status of the circuit breaker and detect faults in time.
At present, the most common series on the market in addition to Acti9, there is also the Easy9 series, the series is not an iterative new product, but the fourth generation of Multi9 reduced version, simplifying some parts that are not very important, much cheaper than Acti9, mainly for the Chinese market, and domestic brands to fight a price war, even so, Easy9 The price is still about 2 times that of Delixi, Chint and other domestic first-line manufacturers.
The Easy9 series is similar to the Acti9 series in terms of specifications and performance, but the Esay9 does not have a red and green bar indicator, which is slightly inferior in terms of ease of use. The price of Easy9's 1P10A air switch starts at 24 yuan, which is about 10 yuan cheaper than Acti9, and the larger the number of poles and rated current, the more obvious the price gap, and the difference between 4P63A is about 50 yuan. It is worth noting that there are many imitations of Schneider circuit breakers on the market, and consumers should be cautious when buying them from formal channels.
