Shengli is one of the most important instrument manufacturers in China, founded in the 80s of the last century. Multimeters, clamp meters, and thermometers are the most important products of Shengli. In the domestic multimeter market, the popularity of Shengli and Unilead is the highest. In terms of product positioning, Shengli focuses on cost performance, and its products include basic instruments VC890 and VC9800 series, VC97 with automatic range and VC187/189A with high-end instruments.
In terms of entry-level products, there is almost no gap between domestic manufacturers, and the difference between manual range instruments of about 100 yuan is very limited. In contrast, the most noteworthy of the victory is the mid-range price-performance options VC97 and VC86E.
VC97 is an autoranging, true RMS multimeter, with 3999 counts, 0.5% basic accuracy, and the price is less than 200 yuan. The VC86E, which is positioned slightly higher, has better accuracy, with a maximum count of 21999 in four and a half digits and a base accuracy of 0.05%. The price of the product is 300~400 yuan. The VC86E positioning is very similar to Unilead's UT61, and the accuracy is slightly higher than that of the UT61E, with the function of maximum value recording and bar reading. However, VC86E is not a true RMS value, and it is inevitable that the reading will be inaccurate when measuring square wave circuits.
If you don't care about autorang, the VC9808A, VC9806A, and VC980 of the VC9800 series are all very good cost-effective choices. Manual rangemeters such as the VC9800 series generally have a triode slot, which can measure the magnification of the transistor. In most cases, this feature is not used very much, but because of this, almost no transistor position is available in high-end multimeters, so the VC9800 series can be considered if you need this.
In terms of high-precision multimeters, the VC187/189A of Shengli has a count of 55,000, and the accuracy of VC189A can reach 0.05%, and the accuracy of VC187 is 0.1%. The two multimeters are very versatile, with a measurement level that is not commonly seen such as conductivity, and additional functions such as bar readings, peaks, relative values, data storage and PC connection, as with the UT71 series, which display two sets of values when measuring alternating current. The price of the two multimeters is about 1500 yuan, which is also close to the UT71E.
