Tianjin Uni-President Battery was established in 1992 by Japan Battery Co., Ltd. and Taiwan Uni-President Enterprise Group, which is a Sino-Japanese joint venture, and later renamed Tianjin Jieshi Battery in 2011, which is a world-renowned lead-acid battery company GS YUASA Group. Therefore, GS batteries and unified batteries in the market are manufactured by the same battery manufacturer, and there is almost no difference in products.
In recent years, the market share of GS batteries is not high, and the market feedback is not good. In addition, JES Battery and Yuasa Battery both belong to GS YUASA, and there is internal competition, which makes the market share of JESS battery repeatedly reduced.
GS batteries only have maintenance-free series batteries, and do not launch start-stop series batteries. The CCA value is at the bottom of the industry, and the GS price of the same type of battery is higher than that of the VARTA Blue Label, while the cold start capacity is less than 80% of that of VARTA. However, GS battery has in-depth cooperative relations with many Japanese cars, and the original batteries of Japanese cars such as Toyota and Nissan mostly use GS batteries. Japanese car users who prefer original batteries can purchase as a kit.
