K&N United States
KN Engineering is the world's largest and best-known manufacturer of air intake systems, founded in 1964 in California, USA. KN started as a motorcycle manufacturer, but in 1969 it produced re-washable filters, which was well received by the market, and since then it has been producing a wide range of filters. KN produces original air filters for 2,400 passenger cars on the market, and has 500 high-performance air intake kits, the mushroom head used by the well-known Japanese air intake brand Gruppe M is KN, and the products of another well-known brand AEM are also manufactured by KN. In addition to being the title sponsor of the NASCAR KN Pro category and the sponsor of the NHRA Horsepower Challenge, KN is also a very active manufacturer in the industry, participating in the highly recognized organizations such as SEMA, the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), the Filter Manufacturers Council, and the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC). The air filter produced by KN can be cleaned repeatedly, with 4 to 6 layers of filter cotton sandwiched between two layers of aluminum wire mesh, and then sprayed with a layer of filter oil to absorb fine dust. The air flow rate is increased by 50%, and the barrier effect is more than that of the filter paper air filter.
