UPM is a leading global forest industry company and one of the world's top three producers of paper and paper products, headquartered in Finland. In 1998, UMP entered China and set up a factory in Changshu, Jiangsu, which is one of the drafting units of the national standard for copy paper.
UMP attaches great importance to environmental protection, as evidenced by the FSC forest certification mark on the outer packaging. If the copy paper packaging is marked with FSC certification, it means that the paper has the least damage to the forest and has a higher environmental protection index.
UMP has three copy paper brands, Jiayin, Xinle and Xinhao are positioned as high, medium and low-grade respectively. Many large enterprises have implemented a multi-brand strategy, with the aim of improving the diversity of products in various price ranges, reducing corporate risks and occupying more shelf space, etc., but the cost and technical content of paper manufacturing are not high, so there is not much difference in price and quality between the products of the same enterprise.
The high quality of the Jiayin series is mainly reflected in the thickness of the paper, which is thicker than Xinle and Xinhao. Thickness affects the opacity, strength, stiffness, etc. of the paper, and is one of the basic properties of the paper. The nominal quantity is the same, the thicker the paper, the better the performance.
Century Jiayin is the best model of Jiayin series, with a quantitative 70g/㎡ paper thickness of 102μm, which is not only much higher than the national standard of 90μm, but also slightly higher than the level of peers, which can provide good stiffness and strength, and the paper is not easy to tear, break, deform and other conditions during use. The opacity is 95%, higher than the national standard of 90%, the higher the opacity, the less likely it is to be affected by the graphics on the back of the paper when reading, which can improve the reader's reading experience, that is, it is more suitable for double-sided printing.
Whether it is a white-collar worker or a student, you should pay special attention to the whiteness of the paper (whiteness) when buying copy paper. The paper with high whiteness can increase the contrast between the ink and the paper, making the graphics and texts clearer, especially when printing color graphics and texts, it can increase the vividness of the color. However, too high whiteness also means that the contrast between black and white is strong, which will cause strong irritation to the eyes and make it easy to strain the eyes. By reducing the content of lignin in the paper paddle and improving the degree of bleaching, UMP controls the CIE whiteness of the paper between 155~167, which is a higher level of paper whiteness, but still within the range of the national standard, which can be said to strike a balance between paper performance and user experience.
Although copying and printing are the strengths of copy paper, UMP's copy paper also writes well, thanks to its high smoothness and moderate ink absorption, the writing is smooth and does not smudge the paper. Of course, whether the paper is wet or not is also related to personal writing habits and the type of ink, it can only be said that UMP's copy paper is enough to meet most people's writing requirements.
