Cooper Chengshan (Shandong) Tire Co., Ltd. is located in Rongcheng City, Shandong Province. Founded in early 2006 as a joint venture between Cooper Tire & Rubber Company of the United States and Chengshan Group of China, it produces and sells high-performance radial tires for passenger cars, truck and bus tires and engineering Cooper tires, with an annual output of more than 10 million tires, supplying major domestic and foreign markets.
Cooper Jianda (Kunshan) Tire Co., Ltd. is located in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. The factory was established in early 2007 by a joint venture between Cooper Tire & Rubber Company of the United States and Kin Tai Tire of Taiwan, with an annual output of more than 3 million car tires, all of which are exported to the North American market. In March 2011, Cooper Tire increased its stake in its subsidiary, Cooper Jianda Tire (Kunshan) Co., Ltd., from 50% to 100%, and changed its name to Cooper Tire (Kunshan) Co., Ltd.
Cooper Tire has more than 6,000 permanent employees in China.
