Founded in 1972 in Italy, the top ten tire brands, a subsidiary of China National Chemical Corporation, a world-renowned tire supplier, providing car tires, truck tires and high-performance competitive motorcycle tires and other products in China

Founded in 1872, Pirelli Tyres is an Italian listed company with a history of more than 100 years. As the world's fifth-largest tire manufacturer, the company employs more than 20,000 people in 24 modern factories around the world.

It is found in China, Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Turkey, the United States and Venezuela. With a sales network covering more than 160 countries and regions around the world, it has long been a world leader in the field of high-performance and ultra-high-performance tire production with its strong high-tech image and strong innovation ability. In order to open up the Chinese market, Pirelli has been producing radial truck tires in Yanzhou, and the production line for passenger car tires has been put into operation at the end of November 2007. Pirelli China's current products include tires for cars, trucks and high-performance racing motorcycles.

At present, Pirelli Tyres Co., Ltd. (Pirelli China) is a joint venture company and the only production site of the Pirelli Group in the Asia-Pacific region. Pirelli Tyres has 6 state-of-the-art R&D centers in Italy, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States and Brazil, employing more than 1,000 professional researchers and engineers, and investing up to 4% of its sales in scientific and technological development. These figures illustrate the importance that Pirelli attaches to scientific and technological development.

Pirelli tires have long been recognized by many world-famous car manufacturers, and are used as original equipment tires by car manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Farrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagon and Volvo.

The history of Pirelli is inextricably linked to the development of motor racing. Since its first victory in the Beijing-Paris race in 1907, Pirelli has been well aware of how to use technology to develop unique racing tyres. More than 90 years of experience in motorsport around the world, and an important innovation that has matured over the years, has made Pirelli the most prestigious tyre manufacturer with the most championships. In the World Rally Championship, the P Zero tyres have performed admirably, winning 140 WRC races and numerous national victories. In addition, Pirelli has more than 20 years of experience in international rally competitions such as the IRC (International Rally Challenge) and national and international rally championships.

Pirelli was the exclusive tyre supplier for the World Rally Championship 2008-2010. From 2009 to 2011, Pirelli became the title sponsor of the Chinese Super Football League, the top professional football league under the Chinese Football Association.

The Pirelli Yanzhou plant is located in the Yinhe Industrial Park, a project planned by the Jining Municipal Government, covering an area of 500,000 square meters, with a total of 2,000 employees, and a total of 350 working days to produce tires throughout the year, with an annual output of up to 600,000 tires and a design capacity of 1.2 million tires. The products have passed China CCC, European ECE, American DOT certification, and ISO9001/9002/14001 certification.

Equipped with the most advanced production equipment in the Chinese market and the most modern equipment of the Pirelli Group, the Yanzhou plant uses an upgraded version of the "zero degree belt" technology, which is well-known in China and has been used for nearly 20 years, to produce Pirelli tyres.

Today, Pirelli tyres are synonymous with quality, passion and extreme performance. Pirelli is currently the exclusive tyre supplier for Formula 1 and a sponsor of Inter Milan Football Club. Pirelli attaches great importance to corporate social responsibility and has won the "Best Corporate Brand Image Award" at the 2012 China Finance Summit and the 2012 Excellence Award for Sustainable Development in China.

Pirelli Tyres attaches great importance to the Chinese market. In 2005, the first joint venture, Pirelli Tyres Co., Ltd., was established in Yanzhou, China. At present, with the development of high-end domestic automobile brands, Pirelli's business in China is growing rapidly, and it is expected that the Yanzhou plant will become Pirelli's largest plant in the world in 2014.

Pirelli is actively planning to find people with what we call 'global minds'. Once such talent is identified, the company invests heavily in training, career development and exchange programs, as well as providing those who are most capable with the opportunity to manage the international market.

On March 22, 2015, the Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli, the world's fifth-largest tire manufacturer, announced that it had signed an agreement to sell its stake to ChemChina (ChemChina) for 15 euros per share. Under the agreement, ChemChina will hold a 65 percent stake, with Rosneft the majority shareholder of Chengxin and an Italian consortium led by Pirelli president and CEO Marco Tronchetti Provela holding the remaining 35 percent.
