SAIC MAXUS Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "SAIC MAXUS") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAIC Motor Group Co., Ltd. Founded on March 21, 2011, the company is located at No. 2500, Jungong Road, Yangpu District, Shanghai, and consists of Wuxi Shenlian Special Purpose Vehicle Co., Ltd. as a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAIC Maxus.

The company now has two major brands, SAIC MAXUS and LDV, and has a production base in Wuxi, mainly producing V80 and G10 platform products, and in 2017, the Wuxi base will produce pickup trucks and SUV products on the same line, with an annual production capacity of 200,000 units.

As an international automobile brand under SAIC Group, SAIC MAXUS has seen rapid sales growth for four consecutive years, and its products have served many international high-end conference activities such as APEC with state-level quality. In terms of overseas markets, the company has set up assembly plants and joint venture sales companies in Malaysia and Thailand, and its products cover more than 30 countries and regions around the world, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, etc.

In 2009, SAIC, a large-scale automobile manufacturer in China, took the initiative to integrate high-level commercial vehicle resources in Europe with a global vision, fully acquired the intellectual property rights and technology platform of the British commercial vehicle company MAXUS, and introduced MAXUS to China and named it "MAXUS Chase".
