Founded in 1880, Asahi Brewery Co., Ltd. is one of the most famous beer manufacturers in Japan, and after more than 100 years of continuous research and development in beer manufacturing technology and beer quality, today, Asahi Asahi has become an internationally recognized and world-famous brand. In 1987, Asahi Brewery Co., Ltd. launched a new product Asahi Shubole draft beer, and its sales performance was booming, and by 1998, Asahi Shubole monovarietal sales had jumped to the first place in Japan, ranking third in the world, and the world's No. 1 draft beer sales.
Asahi Brewery Co., Ltd. is committed to promoting the production of Choppola beer around the world, and has established local production bases for Asahi beer in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
In 1994, Asahi Beer Co., Ltd. officially entered the Chinese market, and successively invested in Hangzhou West Lake Beer Asahi (Joint-Stock Co., Ltd.), Fujian Quanzhou Qingyuan Beer Asahi Co., Ltd., Yantai Beer Asahi Co., Ltd., and Beijing Beer Asahi Co., Ltd., and began to produce Asahi Asahi beer that meets the taste of Chinese, thus opening the prelude to the development of Asahi Beer Co., Ltd. in China. Considering China as a key strategic overseas region, the company is also engaged in the production and sales of Asahi brand beers such as "Asahi Beer Super Cool". In 2009, it acquired a stake in Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd. (Tsingtao Brewery), a leading player in China's beer industry, with the aim of further expanding the beer industry in China and developing the Asahi brand.
Beverage business
In 2004, we established Master Kong Holdings Co., Ltd., the largest food group in China, and Master Kong Beverage Holdings Co., Ltd., a joint venture company with ITOCHU Corporation, to strengthen the foundation of our soft drinks business in China
Agriculture and dairy business
In Laiyang City, Shandong Province, in May 2006, Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. and Itochu Corporation jointly established the agricultural company "Shandong Asahi Asayuan Agricultural High-Tech Co., Ltd." Utilizing circular agriculture, we produce and sell high value-added crops such as strawberries, sweet corn, and tomatoes that can be eaten safely and securely in China.
In April 2008, Shandong Asahi Dairy Co., Ltd. was established jointly with Itochu Corporation (Co., Ltd.). Made using only fresh raw milk squeezed from farms, "VIP's Pure Milk" is sold in high-end shopping malls and department stores in Japan.
