Since the 80s, Owens Corning began to enter the Chinese market.
1995: Owens Corning (Guangzhou) Fiberglass Co., Ltd. was officially put into production, supplying glass wool insulation materials to the local market in South China and exporting them to Southeast Asia.
1996: Shanghai Owens Corning Fiberglass Co., Ltd. was officially put into operation to serve the growing East China market.
1997: Owens Corning (China) Investment Co., Ltd. was formally established.
1999: Owens Corning (Nanjing) Building Materials Co., Ltd. was officially put into operation, which is the first factory in China to produce extruded polystyrene rigid foam board insulation materials, which are used in roofs, floors and walls of commercial buildings and residences.
2002: Owens Corning (Nanjing) Building Materials Co., Ltd. added a second production line of Fumanle extruded foam board to increase production capacity to meet the market demand for energy-saving products.
In the same year, Owens Corning Composites (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. began production and supply the Silentex system and other solutions for the automotive industry.
2004: Owens Corning (Jiangyin) Building Materials Co., Ltd. was established in Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province, known as a company that produces Longji ™ artificial stone exterior materials.
Owens Corning (Tianjin) Building Materials Co., Ltd. was established in 2004 in Tianjin to produce glass wool insulation materials to serve the entire East China market.
2005: The company established the Asia-Pacific Science and Technology Center in Shanghai to provide customers with technical support, solutions and application development services more closely.
At present, Owens Corning (China) Investment Co., Ltd. has 5 building materials factories, 1 composite materials factory and multiple offices in China. The total investment is USD 120 million. The number of employees is about 1,000. The sales network is all over China.
