China has become Weber's second axis of development outside the European continent and is headquartered in Nanhui, Shanghai. Weber's products cover exterior wall finishes and insulation systems, tile laying systems, flooring systems and technical mortar systems.
In China, Weber successfully acquired Maxit in 2008 and opened another production base in Conghua, Guangzhou, in 2014, following the establishment of a production base in Shanghai in 2005. As a result, Weber has four production bases in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Wuhan, and its sales and service network basically covers the first and second tier cities across the country.

1900 Weber et Broutin was founded in France at the beginning of the 20th century. George Weber and Jean-Baptiste Broutin set up a factory in Paris for the production of plaster and lime-based cladding. The two factories merged in 1927.
