Hoto Co., Ltd. was founded in 1983 in Kyoto, Japan, by Yoshihiro Hirata. In the process of development, the company continues to grow and develop. At present, the company is headquartered in Kyoto, Japan, and has offices and sales offices in Tokyo, Nagoya, Sapporo, Sendai, Fukuyama and Fukuoka.

In addition to water-soluble titanium, Fato also developed water-soluble gold (Aqua-Gold) and water-soluble silver (Aqua-Silver). Fato has set up a special research group for the patented technology of water-soluble titanium, and the research and analysis units include Kyoto Prefectural Medical University, Doshisha University, TvBraunchweig University in Germany, UCLA University in the United States, and Massey University in New Zealand.

Fato International Trade (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was formally established in June 2004 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fato Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China. Fateng's products are mainly water-soluble titanium health products, and have obtained 9 patents issued by the State Intellectual Property Office of China, and dozens of patents are in the process of application. Fato products are popular in Japan, with a loyal consumer base ranging from sports stars to ordinary people.

The first store in Chinese mainland opened in Ascendas Plaza in 2005, and has since opened stores in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dalian and other cities. In addition, it has set up offices in Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. At the same time, Tianjin, Dalian, Shenyang, Jilin, Changchun, Harbing, Nanjing, Wuhan, Chongqing, Xiamen, Shenzhen and other major cities have opened sales outlets, and the number of stores in the country has reached nearly 80.
