The history of TIBHAR can be traced back to the sports school in Saarbrücken, founded in 1959 (the capital of Saarland, Germany), where the internationally renowned table tennis coach and former world-class table tennis player Tibor Harangozo opened the international table tennis course. TIBHAR was founded in 1969 by Tibor Harangozo, who named the company TIBHAR by taking the name "Tib" and "Har" from his name. After his death in 1978, the company continued to use the name "TIBHAR", and today TIBHAR has developed into a synonym for high-quality table tennis products worldwide.
In 1969, TIBHAR started producing table tennis products. IN 1978, ERWIN BERG BECAME THE HEAD OF THE COMPANY, WHICH AT THAT TIME WAS A SMALL WHOLESALER OF TABLE TENNIS EQUIPMENT. Erwin Berg embarked on a new corporate strategy and positioning, and TIBHAR became a manufacturer of table tennis equipment, developing, producing and marketing TIBHAR's own products. Erwin Berg is also an experienced table tennis coach in Germany and was a member of the Federal Republic of Germany Table Tennis National Team. He was the only one at the time who proposed to develop rubber based on the characteristics of the athletes themselves.
