Andrew Marc is the leading leather brand in the United States and has become a top brand in the United States engaged in the production and design of ready-to-wear outerwear. While capturing the high-end of the U.S. leather apparel market, Andrew Marc expanded his production line to make ready-to-wear garments using the finest Italian fabrics in Bulgaria and higher-end fur coats in Turkey, as well as ready-to-wear garments using fabrics and high-tech insulation accessories imported from Japan, Italy and Switzerland.
Brand history
Founded in 1981, Andrew Marc started with a sheepskin jacket lined in real wool and soon introduced a wide range of leathers, wools and fabrics to the brand's production line.In 1984, Andrew Marc established his own second-tier brand, Marc by Andrew Marc (now known as Marc New York), with the aim of perfecting the price proposition with consistent quality of fabrics and a basic brand positioning.
In June 2010, Marc Moto, a brand offshoot of Andrew Marc's rebellious ethos, was licensed to Jones Apparel Group Inc., a manufacturer that reinterprets traditional clothing with a new concept.
Classic craftsmanship
Many innovative revolutions in leather fabric technology, including: wax style, leather aging, multiple coatings, leather oxidation, organic dyeing and garment washing processes have had a profound impact on the entire leather market. In terms of clothing process deconstruction, Andrew Marc is ahead of other high-end brands, mainly in the multi-composition of one garment, including front and back, removable vest, and removable placket, giving customers to enjoy better quality and design while discovering more practicality.
The status quo of the brand
Today, Andrew Marc is highly regarded in the American market and can be found in high-end department stores such as Bloomingdale, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.
