Hubei Xinye Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xinyegang) is one of the earliest existing iron and steel enterprises in China, and its predecessor, Daye Iron and Steel Plant, is an important part of Hanyeping Coal and Iron Works Co., Ltd. in the late Qing Dynasty, with a long history, known as the "cradle of China's iron and steel industry". In 1948, it was named Huazhong Iron and Steel Company, in 1953 it was renamed Daye Steel Plant, in 1993 Daye Special Steel Co., Ltd. was established, in 1994 it was restructured into Metallurgical Steel Group Co., Ltd., in 1997 Daye Special Steel A shares were listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and in 2004, Hong Kong CITIC Pacific invested in the acquisition of the main steel assets of Yeye Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. and established Hubei Xinyegang Co., Ltd.
