Founded in May 2023, Beijing Galaxy General Robot Co., Ltd. (GALBOT) is an innovative enterprise focusing on the research and development of embodied multi-modal large-model general robots. We are committed to providing intelligent robot products for global users and serving human society.
Our team members have published more than 100 international cutting-edge academic papers, have the world's leading embodied intelligence research and development capabilities, and have mass production experience of intelligent hardware products with tens of millions of sales.
The company has R&D centers in Beijing, Shenzhen and Suzhou, and has set up a joint laboratory and research center for embodied intelligence with Peking University and Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, with an existing algorithm, software and hardware R&D team of 80 people, and the team is growing rapidly.

June 2023
Completed seed round of financing
One month after we were founded, we completed a seed round of financing with investors from Matrix Partners and BlueRun Ventures.
May 2024
The Peking University-Galaxy General Embodied Intelligence Joint Laboratory was inaugurated

The first generation of products was released
The first generation of embodied large-scale robot Galbot (G1) was officially unveiled
June 2024
Completed angel round financing
One year after its establishment, we completed an angel round of financing of 700 million yuan, setting a record for angel round financing that year.

Completed the strategic round of financing
Galaxy General completed a strategic round of financing of 500 million yuan, and in the first year and a half since its establishment, the cumulative financing has exceeded 1.2 billion yuan.

Dr. Stanford is an assistant professor and doctoral supervisor at the Center for Frontier Computing at Peking University, the director of the Peking University-Galaxy General Embodied Intelligence Joint Laboratory and the Beijing Research Institute of Embodied Intelligence, a leading figure in embodied intelligence in China, and a top scholar in embodied intelligence in the world.
His work has been nominated for ICCV 2023 Best Paper, ICRA 2023 Best Manipulation Paper, 2022 World Artificial Intelligence Conference Youth Outstanding Paper Award, Eurographics 2019 Best Paper Nomination Award, etc. He has also won the Intel China Academic Talent Program Honorary Scholar, Ant InTech Technology Award, etc.
He received his Ph.D. from Stanford in 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Leonidas J. Guibas, a member of the American Academy of Sciences, and his B.A. from Tsinghua University in 2014.
Yao Tengzhou
He graduated from the Institute of Robotics of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics with a master's degree, and studied under Professor Wang Tianmiao, a leader in the robot industry and dean of Zhongguancun Zhiyou Research Institute, with a solid professional background.
He has worked in ABB Group's Shanghai Robot R&D Center, engaged in industrial and service robot R&D for many years, and has mass production experience in selling tens of millions of intelligent hardware products. It has accumulated rich industry experience in designing, manufacturing and selling hardware products.
