Dentsu Group (TYO: 4324) is Japan's largest advertising and communications group. Dentsu's concept of "Total Communication Services" (from advertising, promotions, public relations, culture, sports events, etc.), which is now known all over the world, is able to understand the real needs of customers and provide services with advanced knowledge and technology.
Dentsu (Dentsu; Japanese: でんつう) was founded in 1901 and is headquartered in Tokyo. Dentsu's predecessor was "Nippon Advertising" founded in 1901 and "Nippon Telegraph News Agency" founded in 1907, but in 1936 it was transferred to the news and communication department and changed to a franchise advertising agency. TBS, one of Japan's five largest private television stations, also has a close relationship with it. Since 2000, the company has expanded into the European and American advertising markets through a share swap with Publicis (a 15% stake in Publicis as a continuation of its investment in Bcom3). Dentsu officially entered the Chinese market in May 1994 and established Beijing Dentsu as a joint venture with China International Advertising Agency and private enterprise Dacheng Advertising. In order to avoid managing competing brands at the same time, dentsu has also formed two joint ventures in China: Beijing Oriental Sun Sea and Shanghai Dongpai Advertising.
