Founded in 1979 by Beijing University of Foreign Language Chinese and renamed as Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press"), Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press Press Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press") is a comprehensive education publishing group featuring foreign language publishing, covering all disciplines publishing, Chinese publishing, scientific publishing, children's publishing and other fields, and is also the largest university press and the largest foreign language publishing institution in China, and is realizing the transformation from publishing to comprehensive education service provision.
As a new type of publishing enterprise, relying on the profound advantages of the original foreign language teaching and research, the Foreign Language Research Society has set sail to promote the concept of education service and devote itself to lifelong education for all. For young children, primary and secondary school students, college students and adults, we tailor a comprehensive one-stop education solution for different user needs. In the field of publishing, there are not only traditional advantageous products - textbook tutoring, reference books, foreign language periodicals and readings, but also cultural service products - Chinese as a foreign language, cultural communication, and masterpieces of scientific masters. Among the more than 5,000 books and periodicals published every year, there are more than 1,000 new books and more than 4,000 reprints, many of which have won international and domestic excellent book awards. The books of the Foreign Language Research Society have become a classic brand in the minds of the majority of learners.
Adhering to the purpose of serving teaching and scientific research, the Foreign Language Research Society holds free teacher training activities across the country every year, and has trained more than 100,000 university English teachers and more than 600,000 primary and secondary school English teachers. It has hosted several academic conferences such as the International Symposium on English Language Teaching in China, the National Forum on Basic Foreign Language Education, and the AILA2011 World Congress of Applied Linguistics. Large-scale public welfare events such as the "Foreign Language Research Society Cup" National English Debate Competition, the "Foreign Language Research Society Cup" National English Speech Competition, the National New Concept English Competition, and the National Youth Online Video English Contest have provided a stage for Chinese students to show their style, and have also actively promoted cultural exchanges and the cultivation of international talents.
