In response to the call of the Ministry of Finance and the China Certified Public Accountants Association to "become bigger and stronger, go global", in 2008, the head office of China Audit Certified Public Accountants Co., Ltd. and some of its branches joined forces with Asia-Pacific Zhonghui Certified Public Accountants Co., Ltd. and changed its name to China Audit Asia-Pacific Certified Public Accountants Co., Ltd. At the beginning of 2013, it was restructured into a special general partnership accounting firm.
The head office of China Audit Asia Pacific Certified Public Accountants Firm, formerly known as China Audit Firm, is a department-level institution subordinate to the National Audit Commission. In 1999, with the approval of the Ministry of Finance and the National Audit Office, it was decoupled and restructured into a central audit accounting firm.
Asia-Pacific Zhonghui Certified Public Accountants, formerly known as Asia-Pacific Certified Public Accountants (established in 1983) affiliated to the Yunnan Provincial Department of Finance and Zhonghui Certified Public Accountants (established in 1993) of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, merged in 2003, is one of the accounting firms with a long history of practice in China and one of the earliest accounting firms to obtain the audit qualification of securities and futures-related business.
