KPMG Huazhen, founded in 1917 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is the world's largest professional services organization, with a global network of professional services firms, specializing in providing auditing, tax and consulting services, and set up its first office in China in 1983
KPMG was formed in 1987 by the merger of the member firms of Peat Marwick International (PMI) and Klynveld Main Goerdeler (KMG). KPMG has a long history spanning three centuries, and the four letters of KPMG stand for the initials of its main founders.

In 1979, Klynveld, Deutsche Treuhand-Gesellschaft, and McLintock Main Lafrentz, a multinational professional services firm, merged to form Klynveld Main Goerdeler (KMG).
In 1987, PMI and KMG's member institutions merged. Since then, all of their member firms around the world have provided services under the KPMG name or incorporated the KPMG name into their names.
KPMG China's history
